Spring Sap

A few weeks ago while driving down Austin Ridge Road, I saw a classic scene — 3 Amish fellows loading buckets of sap onto a horse-drawn wagon.  Wish I'd had a camera!

This morning @ 8 a.m. ... saw a flock of turkeys between here and Madrid in a field.  At least 2 males were strutting their stuff, fanning their tails out in a brilliant display for the benefit of the ladies in their mating ritual ...

This evening ... came upon a raccoon on the bridge on Yaleville Road.
